Being an Au Pair
Being an au pair is more than a typical job. You will be able to influence childrens' lives as well as challenge yourself to grow. Often the term nanny and au pair are both used to refer to a person who looks after children. There is a very important difference between the two titles: a nanny is someone who is employed by a family, while an au pair is hosted by a family on an exhange programme and works with the children in the household. As an au pair you will experience a true cultural exchange and become part of the family.
The word "au pair" is French and translates to "on par". It reflects the relationship you will have with the family: equal, open and caring.
